Brokis Balloons
Designed by Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova for Brokis, Balloons is a collection of unique and timeless light that are based on an idea of ‘invisible’ volume with a floating reflector.
The glass is mouth blown and the the largest of the three sizes pushes the material to the limit, as it is the maximum dimension the glass can expand using handmade processes.

Kvadrat: The importance of textiles
Textiles make an impression and create an atmosphere. They influence our perception of furniture and space. When we interact with furniture, upholstery and rugs complete the experience. Kvadrat is attuned to the appearance and function of textiles, to create a product that takes part in and influences modern design culture.
Constantly pushing the boundaries of textiles and of modern and contemporary design whether it be aesthetic, technological or artistic by working closely with designers, architects and artists from the likes of Raf Simons, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Patricia Urquiola, Tord Boontje and Akira Minagawa to achieve this.

A light in darkness.. .
The ‘Mayuhana Ma’ black lamp by Toyo Ito for Yamagiwa; ‘it is the quintessential quality of light found in Japan that reminds me of ‘in praise of shadows’ by Junichiro Tanizaki,’ says the Japanese architect. Originally designed in white, the black version refers to the japanese kanji character ‘真(MA)’, which means true or genuine — thus the creation of a darker, deeper more profound coloured lamp that embodies the tonal qualities of ‘墨(SUMI)’ which refers to Japanese calligraphy ink.
