One of the most important artists of the twentieth century, Akari Light Sculptures by Isamu Noguchi are considered icons of 1950s modern design. Designed by Noguchi beginning in 1951 and handmade for a half century by the original manufacturer in Gifu, Japan, the paper lanterns are a harmonious blend of Japanese handcraft and modernist form. The ceiling shades are made of handmade washi paper and bamboo ribbing. With the warm glow of light cast through hand-made paper on a bamboo frame, Isamu Noguchi utilized traditional Japanese materials to bring modern design to the home.

Chasen is an ingenious suspension light designed by Patricia Urquiolar forFLOS. A highly original design,"Chasen takes its inspiration from an ancient oriental instrument, the traditional bamboo whip used during the tea ceremony, whose delicate filaments continue to change shape.” Patricia Urquiola
Chasen can be adjusted to both alter the shape and the level of light emitted by way of a mechanical movement which opens the louvres.
Made from a chemically treated photo-etched stainless steel body and an internal borosilicate diffuser it comes with a 370cm steel cable support and 18cm diameter ceiling rose and comes in black or white.

The apparently casual pattern with which the composition of irregular planes creates a volume around the light source, determines the dynamic character of Foscarini Big Bang's exuberant personality. The OK Lamp is the design vision of Konstantin Grcic for FLOS. An updated version of Castiglioni's iconic Parentesi lamp, it tells a story of design evolution.
OK pays homage to an icon of Italian industrial design. It redesigns the original light bulb as an ultra-flat LED light source with edge-lighting technology, directable over 360 degrees. "A light-emitting disk. A sun hanging from a wire." Both describe the OK, a multi functional lamp comprising a flat LED disc that moves vertically, sliding up and down on a ceiling to floor tensioned steel cable (up to 4 metres long). The flat disk rotates 360 degrees allowing the light to be fixed at whatever height is required and directed at whatever you want to illuminate, ideal for task lighting. The formerly cylindrical weight has been substituted by an easier-to-install cone shape. Only the small ceiling rose, designed by Achille Castiglioni, has remained identical: a beautifully shaped piece of spun metal that houses the electronic components and a soft-touch switch.

During the 2016 Salone del Mobile.Milano, Baxter presented the new outdoor collection at the garden of the Sheraton Diana Majestic in Milan. This magic place becomes a kind of winter garden where copper and the warm-brown selection of Baxter’s saddle leathers become the main characters. Comfortable seats made with stiff saddle leathers are highlighted and enhanced using materials like concrete. In the new outdoor collection there are also products in stylised shapes made with iron and matched with soft natural-shade leathers.
High quality making and materials, thought and produced to last over time, against wear and atmospheric agents, preserving their unique features. The main idea is to recreate an area where there is an exchange between indoor and outdoor, creating a sense of continuity and coherence in the surroundings. The final result is a place where each element is in harmony with another.

Spokes is a series of pendant lights designed by Garcia Cumini forFoscarini. With LED lighting technology the designs casts beautiful spoke-like shadows on surrounding walls and ceilings to stunning effect. Made from varnished steel and aluminium it comes in either a white or gold finish, as well as a dimmable option to vary light intensity. A design classic created by master architect Le Corbusier for the Unité d'habitation of Marseille, a built residence between 1945 and 1952 . With this experimental building, Le Corbusier tries to achieve a new form of urban design: a "vertical village" called "residential units". He created the "Lampe de Marseille" to be installed in the residential units to optimise lighting. Reproduced by Nemo Lighting since 2010, the lamp is a symbol of modernism of the 1950s. The lampshade is made of two asymmetrical cones including two light sources for illumination both direct and indirect with adjustable arms.
Pragmatic and sober, the lamp shade features a diameter of 50cm and the body as well as the arm are made of lacquered metal. Available with matt grey or whitewash body and double switch on the cable for a functional and adjustable lighting source.
