The suspension lamp Skygarden 1 by Flos provides a direct light with a halogen lamp.
Its hemispherical diffuser has a liquid-paint finish outside and is available in the six versions matt gold, matt silver, matt copper, matt rust-coloured, glossy white or glossy black. However inside a plaster body features inimitable textured decorations that remind of former stuccoworks on fronts, walls or vaults. There was a marvelous, antique decorated plaster ceiling in Marcel Wander's former house. He was really enthusiastic that by the time he moved houses he could not leave it. He took his tools and took it from the ceiling. Those fabulous pieces of history are now secretly hidden in a minimalist architectural sphere. And just this ambivalence directs our attention to the suspension lamp: outside it is characterised by a simple shape and the abandonment of any ornamentation details. On the other hand interiorly there are swinging decoration elements and playful adornments represented.
