Despite of its imposing size, the suspension Spokes 1 by Foscarini fascinates with its lightness and immaterial appearance. The diffuser is composed of many bent steel rods which are as fine as bicycle spokes after which the light fixture has been named.
Instead of a conventional lamp, Spokes is equipped with integrated LEDs. They are located at the base of the diffuser in an element from aluminium and spread some of their light directly downwards and the remaining light upwards and diffusely into the room.
The seemingly missing lamp in the diffuser produces an effect of surprise and enhances the magic of the suspension Spoke 1.
